How To Prepare Pork Tofu Hawaiian Style
A fiery hot pork tofu Hawaiian style seasoned with Pixian bean paste. The Soul Sichuan cuisine in China is often called paste.
It has a deep flavor base from fermented chilies, fava beans, and wheat flour. A dish perfect for adventurous lovers.
This recipe is for four (4) serving
Ingredients:
4.0 tablespoon Cooking oil
1.0 lb. Pork leg
1.0 lb. Firm tofu
1.0 tablespoon Pixian bean paste
1.0 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
1.0 tablespoon light soy sauce
1.0 cup of Salted chicken stock
1.0 tablespoon salt
3.0 Stalks Green garlic
3.0 tablespoon Cornstarch mixture (1 to 2 ratio of cornstarch to water)
Direction
Note: Always practice hygiene when cooking
1. Slice the tofu, pour half of the oil into a skillet and fry until it turns golden on both sides. Remove from the skillet and put on a plate.
2. Slice the pork, pour the remaining half oil into the skillet, and stir fry the pork for 2 minutes while constantly stirring.
3. Add the pixian bean paste and mix properly, and cook for about 2 minutes.
4. Pour in Shaoxing wine, chicken stock, and soy sauce stir properly.
5. Then Add the fried tofu, season with salt and stir properly, then allow it to boil for about 2 minutes.
6. Add the cornstarch mixture and allow it to simmer until thickened for about 5 minutes.
Done your pork tofu Hawaiian style is ready to consume. Hmm so yummy 😋
